Rising issues of coronavirus cases among people pose an increasing state of concern in Polish cities and also globally. In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic since last year various preventive measures  have been employed in Poland as public and personal health control measures to control the spread. The purpose of this study is to present the trend in getting to understand the gravity of seriousness among people in following the precautionary measures. Volunteers were deployed to observe usage of masks and utterly essential precaution among the Polish population while engaging in various activities in the open and enclosed spaces for 3 weeks. Though orders  issued made it mandatory to wear a mask in indoor and outdoor public places , it has been observed in the study that the trend presents decline in the rate day by day and there is lack of seriousness and  fear among people in public places, in spite of orders from the Polish health ministry and various awareness campaigns issuing guidelines for prevention through various communication channels. This study might prove beneficial to concerned authorities to take steps and devise the required preventative measures accordingly.

ABSTRACT

Face masks have been employed in Covid-19 as public and personal health control measures against the

spread of SARS-CoV-2. In Poland, it was mandatory wearing of mask in indoor and outdoor public places. In

public places, it was introduced on 10 April, 2020. Awareness campaigns regarding the need for proper usage

of face masks was done by using all communication channels which were available and were helpful during the

pandemic. On 29 May 2020, use of masks in indoor public places was relaxed.
