From Marathas to the British Bombay fell in various hands.
The seven islands of Colaba, Sion Koliwada, Mahim, Old woman's island (Little Colaba), Worli, Isle of Bombay, Parel.
At last, the territory went from sultans of Gujarat it fell into hands of Portuguese. The Portuguese granted Bombay as dowry to British prince Charles for princess Catherine Braganza. The land reclaimed those seven islands and gave rise to an excellent harbor.
The Parsi and Gujarati businessmen gave all the facilities and riches to the city and made it a metropolitan region. City of dreams this city receives many immigrants every month.
